

Challenge
Fee collection is the only source of income for schools, the Client was spending time and resources training school staff on a very complicated but crucial feature which also was hurting conversions.
Solution
After taking a lot of feedback from existing school clerks, accountants, admins and parents, We simplified the experience by creating an intuitive user journey for the process that did not require training anymore after rolling out to new users.
Reasoning
We visited the schools and observed how fee collection & fee discounts were being handled before the software and we adapted the new experience mimicking the steps that clerks & accountants were already taking in real life with parents.
Impact
The newly designed v2 fees module increased the frequency of fee collection as it no longer exclusively required an accountant, and anyone from the administration can perform fee collection and discount and send receipts or pending reminders directly through WhatsApp integration.
School admins were really happy with the new feature as it was very easy to use and it greatly reduced a ton of resources the Inforida had to spend in terms of training.
Through our redesign we were able to reduce software training time by 75%, saving the client Customer Acquisition Cost in long run
